khirsu small village of pauri garhwal

TRIP TO KHIRSU
(Pauri Garhwal) Uttarakhand

Khirsu is a small village about 15kms from  Pauri Garhwal and 125 km from Lansdowne.

if you are looking for a calm and peaceful gateway from delhi. This is the destination for you.
There are various ways to reach this place (15kms from Pauri). I went from Lansdowne on  a bike trip with my friends for most of us this was a sudden trip.

One who loves nature and calmness he should visit the place.
This is a very small and quiet hill station with good views of Himalayan peaks. There is a nature park which is quite well mantained. The GMVN tourist rest house where we stayed, offers the best location.

The road is wonderful and the weather was good in the morning. There is a big park at the top which is adjacent to the GMVN TRH. The park is serene with lots of swings, rides and jungle gym for kids to play while parents can enjoy the wood walk along the lush green. The snow view point from GMVN TRH may offer you a good view of the snow peaks provided the weather is good particularly at early morning.

 Trip To Kedarnath
Kedarnath is located in the Himalayas, about 3,583m (11,755ft) above sea level near Chorabari Glacier and situated at the bank of "Mandakini" and "Saraswati" river. This place is a part of 4 Dham yatra which has a lot of importance in Hindu mythology. It is a part of 12 shivlings and the most tough place to reach.

History:-  According to Hindu Mythology, this temple was build by "Pandav" when they were in their lst phase of life.

In India there are many beautiful places to travel kedarnath is one of the most beautiful place in india, The wonderful climate, big mountains, Himalaya was glittering on the top, mesmerising views etc attract you the most . it's a very cold place, Lack of Oxygen and a very steep slope that makes the trek very difficult.whenever you are trekking in this trek always leave your beliefs to Lord Shiva There is a lot of rush when you visit the temple. you have a camps there to stay which offer you food as well. it charges you very nominal for it. we complete this 22 km track in 8hours because of heavy rain fall or snow. weather in these regions is very unpredictable and so don't forget to take proper woolen clothing. Best time to travel is mid june when snow starts to melt to mid october before the temple closed for winters when the hole region is covered with snow. it's such an enchanting experience that i cannot explain more. you  have to visit yourself to see it.

Me and my friends planned a spontaneous adventure trip to Rishikesh in the month of june. It was a complete fun experience and very well organized. The camp is located 30 kms from Rishikesh, but it more then makes up when you reach the place. The riverside is cleaner and more pristine.

Day 1: We reached camp at around 11AM and we decided to go straight for the activities. We did rock climbing, rappelling which was all handles very well by experiences instructors.

Day 2: Rafting was an amazing experience. We had a guide from chicago, I think her name was Aaron. He was very encouraging and fun to be with He did a great job of safety and instructions throughout the 16 km course. Great experience overall.
